POWERFUL MARE LINES (STAM)

powerful stam lines 50 and 25

STAM 25 - the mare line of imported Ster Stallion Omer RS

STAM 50 - the mare line of Brandus 345 Sport (Sire of Omer RS)

STAM 60 - the mare line of imported Ster mare Elma and Ymke KP

STAM 214 - the mare line of imported Crown mare Rixt Z. and Isis PJ

The Friesian mare and her breeding plays a very important role in the selection of a pairing, we believe more so than the stallion.  The influence of particular mare lines have strongly impacted on the development of the Friesian breed over generations, certain mare lines are stronger than others at producing Studbook Stallions or Preferent mares.

Listed above are just a few of the influential mare lines that are dominant in our breeding program. Of particular note is the Stam Lines 25 and 50, these two mare lines are the largest producing lines of Studbook Stallions in the history of the Friesian Breed, and we are very proud to say that our own Stallion Omer RS fan Top en Twel is a direct product of these two powerful mare lines, a combination that no other stallion in Australia can claim and a combination that is unquestionably the essence of the best breeding families of the Friesian horse.
