KP Romance (aka Julia) is a Friesian Sporthorse Filly, she is by the Licensed Main Foalbook Imported Sire Hilwert L. out of Balgownie Sonata.

Julia's Sire, Hilwert L. came 3rd & 6th respectively in DWTS 2006 in the young horse 5 yr old class and is currently competing at Elementary where he has won his last three Elementary tests prior to having a break from competition. Update: Hilwert has re-started competition and is now competing Medium level.

Julia is sister to KP Femke (unbeaten in WA), KP Elkochino (Multi-Supreme Winner), and KP Oracle (Highest scoring Friesian Sporthorse in ACE inspection 2009). This special filly is the first born daughter of Hilwert in Western Australia.  She is an extremely pretty foal, she uses her hindquarters very well and has much power, lift and flambuoyance in her movements with an exceptional floating trot.  We expect Julia to mature well over 16HH.

When Julia launched her assault on the WA Show scene in late 2009 as a yearling, her first 3 shows saw her sashed SUPREME champion each time and her 4th outing she was sashed Champion of Champions! Like her brother and sister before her, Sonata foals have proven very competitive and in demand! 

At the 2010 Perth Royal Show Julia was praised by the local judge for her modern type and true sporthorse conformation coupled with her powerful ground covering strides.
